Race vs. Demographics

Demographics is a breakdown of selected population characteristics based commonly on age, race, sex, income, religion, education and host of others factors deemed relevant based on data. “Demographic are numbers! Nothing more! Nothing less! Until they are applied to something!”

Political Poles use demographic to determine voters opinion on various issues. As of late the issue of Race has come up in the Democrat Primary between Clinton and Obama. The Obama’s camp claims the Clinton’s camp is using race. Clinton’s camp was simply trying to point out that in election for president against Republican Candidate John McCain. She would have more favorable Number in a National campaign along Racial Demographics than Obama. Some in Obama’s Camp even pointed the finger and said Clinton’s camp was guilty of “Racial Profiling” .

“That’s like Pot calling the Kettle Black!”

The video tape of Rev. Wright’s Sermon has thrown that claim of “Racial Profiling” from being on the front burner of the Obama Campaign, to a skeleton in it’s closet . I personally reviewed the Rev Wright Sermon, as nothing more than, a local religious leader way of trying to rally a congregation to support Obama. His sermon is not something uncommon, in fact happens frequently in churches throughout America on any given Sunday.
It’s more of a “Pride Speech!” than a racial hate speech. Of course, that all depends on who’s shoes your are wearing. It would have been easy for Obama to walk away from it, just stating the “Helpful Uncle” routine may have been enough to drop the subject. His speech, though eloquent and well supported by the African American community, was not received so well outside African American community. The political poles shows it either made no difference or hurt him.

“Florida and Michigan”

Hillary Clinton has continued to hound the Obama Campaign about having a revote in “Florida and Michigan”. The comment by one his advisor concerning the use of public money relating it to “Anheuser Bush” was not well received by the general public. Obama claims he will follow the “DNC” ruling, knowing full well that the counting the current delegates would put Clinton ahead. “What is Obama afraid of ?”

“A Cowards” Way of Change!”

Every speech you hear from Obama is about Change. But when comes to the revote in Florida and Michigan, he is taking the safe and easy way. What about the empowerment of Florida and Michigan voters or are you just about giving speeches. Are you more concerned about winning at any cost . A true leader would face challenges head on leaving no doubt in peoples minds. How can you lead American with doubt?
